I also agree that it is a bad idea to nick-pick and find problems where there are none. I suppose the proofreader (i.e. 'butler') would have to be a translator in the same pair in order to catch the false friends and translation errors. I wonder, though, if the deadlines and budgets of most projects allow for that sort of team work. Would the per-word rate have to be adjusted accordingly?
