A heavy lift: all the books we've translated

Port Townsend is rainy today, and it was time to add the bibliography page to this site: all the books that we'd translated over the years, under any name (I used a pen-name, as well as having work published under the previous formal names I had for the usual reasons).

The problem is that there were so very many of them! Between 1989 and 1999 I felt that I should be part of the book publishing industry. I was happy to translate or write, review, select books: anything that got me close to the sweet scent of ink on paper. 

In 1999 Daniel and I decided we should focus on legal and technical translation, and have had very few book translations commissioned since then. I sort of miss the new book smell, but have enjoyed referring books to excellent translators working in the same language combinations. 

Looking back and reviewing all these books, remembering what I was thinking about when I translated each of them, brought light and warmth to this rainy day.
